An Invitation to Life – Learn about working in spiritual guidance
This site offers resources and reflections on contemplation, spiritual companionship, and the practices of everyday life. I hope that wherever you are on your own journey, you will find something here that helps nourish and sustain your own path.
My name is Matt and I walk with people who are exploring what it means to deepen in their own lives. This work is called spiritual companionship, which includes spiritual direction, guidance, and life coaching. This is a one-to-one listening relationship rooted in curiosity, non-judgement and compassion. Its purpose is to assist in your own personal growth.
I am a certified spiritual guide and meditation facilitator. My goal is to provide safe space for exploration and discovery for what matters most to you.
My approach to spiritual guidance is to compassionately hold listening space in a one-on-one session. Working with a spiritual guide can awaken you to new possibilities, new connections and a new sense of meaning and purpose in life. I offer this practice for you! Ready to learn more?
I work as a visual artist, spiritual guide, and mentor, providing one-on-one and group spiritual guidance and companionship. In my day job I work as the Creative Director for SDI – The Home of Spiritual Companionship.
So, should you be interested in receiving one-on-one spiritual companionship (in the form of guidance, spiritual direction, or life coaching), facilitating a retreat or giving a talk – Please contact me with inquiries! In short, I offer these practices to you, and invite you to consider what it means for you to live a purposeful, awakened life.

My spiritual companionship practice benefits from the land on which I live and work. I acknowledge this land as stewarded and blessed by the first people of Seattle, the Duwamish People. I offer gratitude to the land itself and the Duwamish Tribe, and I support their fight for federal recognition and reparations through the Real Rent Duwamish movement.
